-12℃ and Running

It has been two weeks since I have started my Spring Half-Marathon training.

Most of my runs will have to be at night due to my 9-5 work schedule. I actually enjoy running at night a lot. There will be less people on the roads and more space to run with.

We experienced the second snow of the year last week. Unlike the first, which was a quick two-hour light snow, it went for real this time. Temperature dropped to -12℃ the lowest. On the bright side, the snow and cold weather took away the haze and brought back the blue sky.

It excites me to go fun a run when the sky is that blue. However, I was a little hesitated because of the coldness. There goes the advantage of having a training schedule. It motivates to go out on such a cold weather.

With all that being said, I went out for a run in the morning last Sunday when it was -4℃. I am so glad I have made it !

Up for My First Half-Marathon!

I have been feeling less motivated since finishing my very first Spartan Race Sprint in Singapore back in November. Besides, the extremely cold temperature here is not helping either.

Last year, one of my resolutions was to participating in more races. If possible, I wanted to join a half-marathon in Guangzhou. Well, it turned out to be a bit unrealistic. I did participated several 10k and one 15k race, though.

I have decided that I am going to do my first half-marathon this year! After searching for races for a while, I have signed myself up for both Chengdu and Yangling International Marathon, which will be in late March and early April. So two months to go for my training! Yeah!

It is still very cold at night, which is my only time for training after work. But I will make it!

Here is all the miles I have ran with my Nike+ in 2015.

The Beginning

It feels like it was 1000+ years ago when I used to be obsessed with blogging.

I was suddenly thinking of my old blog a couple of days ago and decided to go have a look. To my surprise, that site is already outdated and the server is fully retired. Well, I guess they just cannot handle the competition with all the twitter-ish instant blogging anymore. I get it. I was kind of that I didn't put too much effort into it since two or three years ago. If I had built it with all my hearts, I don't know how I would be feeling after all my work is taken down.

It is another end of the year. Holiday season. The idea to write something down to record my quiet and peaceful life is coming back again. I hope this site is not going away anytime soon. It is Google!
